Fertility Blend and FertilAid are both nutritional supplements that are available for both men and women. These nutritional supplements use a variety of vitamins, minerals, herbs, and anti-oxidants with the intention of helping their users with fertility problems. In the case of women, the supplements specifically try to work on the ovulatory cycle and hormone ratios. For men, Fertility Blend and FertilAid hope to work on sperm production and quality.
One of the key ingredients in both Fertility Blend and FertilAid is chasteberry, also called vitex. Herbalists use vitex to help with hormonal imbalances, as well as to regulate menstrual function and ovulation. Vitex is also purported to help with women who have trouble with fertility due to a shortened luteal phase, or with luteal phase defect. Some women use vitex to help restore regular menstrual functioning after they quit using birth control pills.
Vitamins C and E are both present in Fertility Blend and FertilAid as well. These vitamins are thought to be antioxidants that help to repair and prevent cellular damage. Vitamin E specifically is thought to help with fertility problems. In addition, both Fertility Blend and FertilAid contain Folic Acid, an important mineral in preventing birth defects.
There are some differences between the fertility supplements Fertility Blend & FertilAid as well. FertilAid uses red clover blossom, Siberian ginseng, Paba B, and ginkgo biloba as well as chasteberry. On the other hand, Fertility Blend uses green tea, selenium, and several vitamins and minerals that FertilAid does not use, including vitamins B6 and B12, iron, and zinc.
Fertility Blend and FertilAid both have male versions of their products available as well. Both versions use the amino acid known as l-carnitine. This amino acid is thought to perform an essential function in the role of male sperm. L-carnitine specifically is thought to help with the quality, quantity, and motility of sperm. Both also utilize zinc as well as vitamin C to help this process.
FertilAid for men does differ from Fertility Blend for men. Fertility Blend relies on an antioxidant known as Dong Quai, Vitamin E, green tea, selenium, and vitamins B6 and B12. FertilAid uses Grapeseed oil (an antioxidant), as well as maca root, ginseng, and beta-carotene in its effort to help with male fertility.
While neither of the products are FDA approved to help with fertility, many people have tried these supplements with varying degrees of success. Many men and women who are undergoing medical fertility treatments have found success by adding the nutritional supplements Fertility Blend or FertilAid to their diets.
