Pycnogenol, also known as French Marine Pine Bark Extract,
is a patented formula created from the extract of the French Marine Pine that
grows in southwest France. Pycnogenol is a powerful anti-inflammatory,
antioxidant, and flavonoid – which means it’s a free-radical and
anti-carcinogen.
Flavonoids help cleanse the body of toxins – ideal for when trying
to conceive or preparing to carry a healthy pregnancy. It’s recommended that
your body as cleansed of pollutants as possible. Pycnogenol works by boosting the
immune system and improving both circulation and blood flow.
For women
Pycnogenol has been used to address
endometriosis, menopausal symptoms, painful menstrual periods, and dysmenorrheal.
For men
Pycnogenol has been shown to improve sperm motility
and the formation of more normal sperm. A study published in a 2002 Journal of
Reproductive Medicine found that after taking Pycnogenol for 90 days, subject’s
sperm motility increased by 38%. Men diagnosed with teratozoospermia may see
improvement.
French Marine Pine
Bark Extract also increases ferulic acid excretions, which has been linked to
increasing sperm count. Additionally, a
2003 study found that when Pycnogenol is paired with the supplement L-arginine,
sexual function was greatly improved for those diagnosed with ED, erectile
dysfunction.

Recommended Usage : Take once daily. 1 tablet for each 50-60 pounds of
body weight for the first 1-2 weeks. Then, adjust intake to 1 tablet for
each 100-120 pounds of body weight.

There are no known interactions with herbs or supplements,
but do not take if you are currently taking an immunosuppressant, a medication
that decreases the immune system. This will be a medication conflict as
Pycnogenol increases the immune system.
