OV-Watch ® Fertility Predictor

Advanced TECHNOLOGY. Advanced NOTICE. Advanced RESULTS.

The OV-Watch Fertility Predictor is a watch you wear that digitally indicates your fertile window, which is the 4 days leading up to ovulation. The watch is equiped with a biosensor that measures the salt, chloride. Each biosensor is good for use for one cycle. After each cycle a new biosensor must be used.

Chloride levels are low at the beginning of a woman’s cycle and peaks three times throughout the cycle. The OV-Watch takes an initial baseline chloride ion level, measures the first chloride peak, then accurately predicts 4 days in advance when ovulation will occur.

How to use the OV-Watch

Begin wearing the OV-Watch on day 1, 2, or 3 of of your menstrual period. It is preferred to start wearing it on day 1. Wear the watch through ovulation. The OV-Watch should be worn for at least 6 hours a day, preferably while sleeping.

The OV-Watch measures your chloride ion levels secreted through persperation every 30 minutes. You are alerted by the digital display either: FERTILE DAY 1, FERTILE DAY 2, FERTILE DAY 3, FERTILE DAY 4, OVULATION DAY 1, and the day after. This gives you a significant advantage by knowing when you will ovulate, and so know the best days to try to conceive.

Why is chloride level important when trying to conceive?

A woman’s first chloride surge occurs before the estrogen surge and before the LH surge. The OV-Watch detects the chloride surge 3 days before the estrogen surge, and 4 days before the LH surge, and a full 5 days before ovulation. This gives you advanced knowledge of when you will ovulate, and ultimately the best 4 days to conceive your baby.

A 2001 report in Statistics in Medicine revealed that a couple only has a 5% chance of conceiving on the day of ovulation. However, the 4 days leading up to ovulation held a combined 80% chance of conceiving.

OV-Watch vs. LH ovulation predictor tests

LH ovulation predictor tests detects the LH hormone surge 12-24 hours before ovulation. The OV-Watch lets you know 4 days before ovulation, giving you more advanced notice of your most fertile days that cycle.

66% more pregnancies are estimated to occur by month 6 with OV-Watch over LH ovulation predictor tests

Up to one-third of women miss their LH surge, and consequently ovulation, when using urine LH ovulation tests. The OV-Watch does all the work for you; no urine tests, no inaccurate results or taking the test incorrectly to worry about. All you have to do is start wearing OV-Watch on day 1 of your menstrual period.

Who should use the OV-Watch?

Women with regular monthly cycles ranging from 24-35 days are the best candidates to wear the OV-Watch. Even still, the OV-Watch provides accurate results and can be programmed for cycles ranging from 20-39 days.

Women who have recently been pregnant, stopped breast-feeding or stopped using hormonal contraception should wait until they have had two normal monthly cycles before using OV-Watch.
