My husband and I have been trying to give our daughter a sibling, but haven’t had any luck so far. I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) so my cycles are very irregular, which makes it very hard to conceive. With our daughter I was off birth control for over a year (in which we weren’t actively trying, but we also weren’t preventing) and then when we started actively trying it still took us another year … along with basal temperature charting, fertility drugs, & having my husband tested, before we were finally able to conceive. I’ve been keeping track of my cycles since February and doing the ovulation tests, in attempts to better pinpoint when I’m ovulating, but no luck so far. And since we haven’t used any sort of birth control/prevention since our daughter was born over 4 years ago, and we are in our 30′s, I’m guessing that it’s probably going to be more difficult to conceive this go around. I actually just discovered the OvaCue Fertility monitor this week and think it would be perfect for my husband and I. Negative test after negative test tends to get quite depressing so it’s very inspiring to read about all the sucess stories from the women who have used the OvaCue!
