Best Pregnancy Movies Ever

If you’re thinking about whether or not you want to have a baby or whether you’re already trying to conceive, it’s easy to get baby on the brain. Since you can’t seem to think about anything else, why not embrace it? Here are a few movies you can check out from your local video store and force your partner to watch with you tonight. Be warned, however, that you may not feel the same way about getting pregnant after you watch some of these:

  • Father of the Bride II. All right. We’ll start out with one the man in your life might actually be able to relate to. This 1995 movie starring Steve Martin is, arguably, funnier than the original Father of the Bride.
  • Knocked Up. OK, here’s another one he might like. Seth Rogan and Katherine Heigl star in a very raunchy look at an unexpected pregnancy. Just watch out for the crowning shot. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
  • Baby Mama. SNL’s Tina Fey and Amy Poheler team up for this hilarious look at the idea of surrogacy. This one’s good for at least a few laughs.
  • Rosemary’s Baby. Enough of the comedies. This one paints a much more, well, Satanic picture of pregnancy. The good news is that your pregnancy is likely to go much more smoothly than Mia Farrow’s in this 1968 classic.
  • Nine Months. A great training video for your special guy to figure out how to go from tough guy to great dad, ala Hugh Grant. This 1995 film mocks and celebrates your guy’s fears and reluctance and nervousness all at once.
  • Junior. A pregnant Arnold Schwarzenegger. Need we say more? This one is a classic, hands down.

So, get on down to your video store, pop some popcorn in the microwave and curl up with your man for a night of baby movie excitement tonight!

I think Juno is another good movie for this list.
