Will I Know When Implantation Occurs?

If you are trying to get pregnant then you want to know everything that is going to happen, at the very moment it happens, so you know you are pregnant! Unfortunately, not all women will know when implantation occurs especially if they aren’t looking out for the signs. However, if you are actively trying to get pregnant and you know you have engaged in intercourse during your most fertile days then it is very likely that you will know implantation has occurred as long as you look out for it.

It may not seem possible, but after ovulation if the egg is fertilized then implantation will occur anywhere from six to 10 days later. Usually, this is anywhere from day 20-24 of your menstrual cycle. Each person is different and this may occur earlier or later depending on the woman’s cycle.

When it comes to implantation you really will miss it if you aren’t looking out for it. That’s because the symptoms are not that obvious in most women. For example, a week after implantation you may see your basal body temperature rise or fall. Also, after implantation you may experience a small amount of spotting or bleeding. Many women confuse this for the beginning of their period as well. Keep in mind, too, that these signs do not mean that implantation has definitely occurred. You may experience spotting or changes in your basal body temperatures for other reasons, too, so don’t get your hopes up too much. Of course, some women do not experience any of these symptoms and for those who don’t it is virtually impossible to know when ovulation occurs.

If you are patient, however, and wait until you miss your period then you will be able to take a pregnancy test that will tell you whether or not you are pregnant! The idea of waiting is really difficult for women who have actively been trying to get pregnant however it’s usually the only option!
