Why Does Lubricant Choice Matter When Trying to Conceive?

A recent study published last week in the official journal of the
American Society of Reproductive Medicine, showed that Pre~Seed was
the only vaginal dryness product tested that didn't harm sperm
motility as compared to Astroglide, Femglide (similar to Slippery
Stuff), & Replens; or damage sperm DNA (genetic material) as compared
to Femglide or KY. This data backs up over 10 other publications
showing that standard lubricants and saliva, harm sperm, and should be
avoided while TTC.

Calculating When You Ovulate
~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~
Timing is everything when you are trying to conceive. Here are a
couple of facts that will help you calculate when to have sex for
conception.
- For most women, ovulation happens approximately 14 days before the
next menstrual period.
- The length of your menstrual cycle is the number of days from the
first day of menstruation to the day before the following menstrual
period starts.
- Sperm can survive up to 5 days after ejaculation.
- Having sex closer to the time you ovulate will increase your chances
of conception.
If you have a normal 28 day cycle, you can figure out when you ovulate
by using your calendar to figure out when you are ovulating. You will
ovulate approximately 14 days after your period starts.
If you have a cycle that is a differnt length, figure out when your
next period should start and count backwards, on the calender, 14
days. This is around the time you should ovulate.
If you have a variable cycle, or a longer cycle, you can visit our

Does Endometriosis Carry A Higher Risk Of Miscarriage?

The clinical studies that have examined the relationship between
endometriosis and miscarriage have not exactly produced conclusive
results. It is hard to say if indeed endometriosis creates a higher
risk of having a miscarriage. There are arguments both for and
against whether endometriosis can cause miscarriage, and fertility
specialists tend to be rather divided on the issue.

Unfortunately there is no answer to that question. Considering that
both the man and woman are healthy and ready for baby making, it still
takes a normally healthy couple up to a year to get pregnant.
