Why Is My Ovulation Test Positive For 2 Days In a Row?
Testing for ovulation can be confusing and quite stressful for many women. That is because finding out when ovulation occurs is of utmost importance and when things don't go as planned it can be very frustrating. One thing that can be quite confusing is if when testing the ovulation test remains positive two days in a row. What does this mean and can you still get pregnant? Is something wrong? The Surge
The reason you are testing to find out when you ovulate is because you want to become pregnant. So, you are simply looking for the surge of hormones that indicates ovulation will occur within 72 hours. If you take the ovulation test several days in a row and it remains positive each of these days this should really be of no concern. The reason why is that you are only looking for the surge of hormones which would result in the first positive test. After that it does not matter how many positive tests you have because hormones may stay high, may drop, or level out. Keep in mind that the most important thing is the first positive test. Once you have this don't worry if you have a positive ovulation test several days in a row. Just keep in mind the first positive test is what is important and ovulation will occur within a few hours to a few days.
Keep Up With Your Cycle
Remember that while you are testing for ovulation you need to really keep up with your cycle. You might even have a surge twice in one month so don't get confused. This happens to some women and it may happen to you regularly, once in a while, or not at all. If you start paying attention to your cycle from the beginning of one month to the end then you will have a better idea of how your body works. You may notice that when you test you receive positive results for two days in a row each and every month. Or, this may be a one time occurrence. The most important thing is to know your cycle and your body and this will take away a lot of the confusion!
