Herbs to Help Male Fertility

When a man has not been able to get his partner pregnant after trying for a year with no protection at all then this is frequently considered male infertility. Men may have what they consider to be a normal ejaculation, however researchers do not know as of yet exactly how much sperm is normal and necessary.

Some men may have fertility issues due to an infection in their reproductive tract at some point in time. Or, it is possible that there is an anatomical problem or even scar tissue that is causing problems with impregnating a woman. Unfortunately, some men who are infertile will not be able to determine what the cause is.

Luckily, there are some herbs that can help male fertility. Of course, men who have an anatomical problem or else scarring will probably benefit more from surgery. The herbs can help men of all ages so they are a great place to start as far as infertility is concerned. One thing that is good for men is that infertility is not age specific, unlike with women. Many doctors and researchers have observed sperm from young men to older men in their 60s and the sperm is always the same. For best results, men should take herbal supplements for at least a few months at the minimum.

Infertile men frequently benefit from a combination of flaxseed oil and zinc. This particular combination boosts the production of testosterone as well as an increase in sperm count. Men can protect their sperm from free radicals by supplementing with antioxidants like vitamin E, vitamin C, and other carotenoids. Men who supplement with zinc should also supplement with copper because the body’s level of copper will be adversely affected by zinc supplementation.

While men are supplementing with herbs they should also stop smoking and consuming alcohol as both are detrimental to sperm production. In order to improve health it is important to exercise and relax.
